Synergies Nº4 - 1999
The
first objective of Viña William Fèvre Chile is the export.
The winery wants to work with several importers, and small and medium distributors,
who dominate their distribution channels.
In Chile, their principal market is the specialized wine shop. Currently
the company has a limited presence in the country because it is a small
market, where the customer is not really open to discover new wines. But
the market is changing and evolving towards good quality wines. This is
the result of the interest from the press but also from restaurants.
Many changes are foreseen for the year 2000. First of all, they want to
double the storage capacity in San Luis de Pirque, allowing to have permanently
400.000 aging bottles.
They
also want to develop the production of "Reserva" wines, aging
in 225 litres barrels.
Finally, the vineyard continues to increase with the purchase of 10 new
Hectares in 1999 and the planting of 20 Hectares this year. |
