Vineyard location: Vistalba, Lujan de Cuyo.

Age of the vineyard: More than 60 years old

Alcohol: 14,5 %

Yielding: 40 hl / ha

Grapes: 100% Malbec grapes

Harvest: 20th March - 10th April
Canopy cut-back and green harvest in December. Manual harvest in 20 kg trays in order not to damage the grapes.
Double selection is performed: first selection of bunches and a second selection grape by grape.

Bleeding: 25 %

Fermentation: Cold maceration to achieve fruity aromas. Fermentation with indigenous yeast at 28 ºC in order to preserve the optimum expression of the "terroir".
Pumped over four times per day and extended maceration period of 30 days.

Ageing: 100 % exclusively in French oak barrels for 12 months. Final clarification with fresh egg whites.

Drinkable: 8 years

Tasting Notes: Dense ruby red color with shiny violet tones. The bouquet is intense, plenty of wild black berries, ripe black cherry, liquorish and spices.
On the palate this wine shows a remarkable balance with very elegant, delicate and silky (almost sweet) tannins.

Food Recommendation: With red meats and game.

Cheese Recommendation: Pungent cheeses and chocolate.
